Third Day: working on the chapter on the history of the German-Iranian Relationship

Today i worked on the second chapter which is on the history of the German-Iranian relationship. I remember I was crying when I was writing this chapter in 2016. My supervisor suggested me to add this topic to my dissertation: “I think it makes sense if you write why exactly Iran and Germany are your case studies? What is historically important in their relationship?”

Yes it is nice and important; but adding a sub-topic after finishing the analysis of the dissertation is hard for almost any writer. I remember how I terribly felt when I was reading history books. Where should I start? How should I form this chapter? I was keeping telling J that I never can finish this chapter: “… I am not an expert of history”! But at the end when I sent off three chapters of the dissertation, including this chapter, to my supervisor, he replied that he specifically liked my discussion on the German-Iranian historic relationship. I really was relieved after hearing that.

Ok in my current resized word file chapter 2 takes 35 pages. I have to reduce it into 25 pages. Otherwise I can not reach the limitation of 256 pages of book. But it seems promising. I had a good progress today. This chapter takes at least one week time.

Today was again, very hot. 38 degree. Whole the day I was at home, drinking often, to survive the weather. After dinner J and I derived bicycle to the city center for a bit grocery shopping and ice eating.

I also gave some thoughts to the reference method today. Which style should I use in this book to save some space? Notes at the end of the book or APA? I have to talk to my publisher on Monday.
I have also continued reading a book on Iran. About the authority of Iranian Presidents after the Iranian Revolution. I have to confess that I did not know many things about the Iranian political system. I have to review this book for a journal. I ll inform you about the review on this specific book when it is done. My book review on the book “The Internet and the 2016 Presidential Campaign”, which is published by the International Journal of Communication, University of Southern California, you can find here

My weblog had till now 65 viewers. 13 have a look at it today. Most of the people got an access directly from facebook. No wonder. I advertise my posts in my homepage in facebook. Just one person have seen my weblog from the google. Nobody till now have read the weblog from Iran. Interesting. Or?

Ok. Till tomorrow.
